When does a career become passion? When you鈥檙e able to use your skills, talent, and education for the greater good. It鈥檚 something Harriet Feldman has been doing for more than five decades, starting from her graduation from a diploma nursing school.
In May 2021, 91视频鈥檚 College of Health Professions PhD in Nursing Program marked its first commencement ceremony with three graduating students. The graduates, triple 91视频 alumna Chava Pollak, Michele Flynch, and Delores McGregor were recognized at an in-person hooding ceremony on the Pleasantville Campus attended by PhD faculty, who hooded the graduates.
As the founder and president of the Pre-Veterinary Club, Lara Ellentuck 鈥22 has been hard at work creating a space for animal lovers all across the 91视频 Community. She鈥檚 interned at animal shelters and hospitals, and she鈥檚 excited to share her expertise with others.
91视频 is poised to transform Lienhard Hall, home to its College of Health Professions on the Pleasantville campus, into a modernized Healthcare Hub with the help of $1 million in state funding.
鈥91视频 has given me a real edge. We have clinical placements early, and we work in the field and in labs far more than what鈥檚 required for licensing. That鈥檚 where so much of the learning is, and I鈥檓 there.鈥
Be it a high-stakes race or a patient in need, nursing student Nick Porretta 鈥17 is prepared for anything that may come his way.
CHP Professors Angela Northrup and Christen Cooper, and student Rachel Mazariegos '21 are embarking on a multi-disciplinary research study examining sugar sweetened beverage consumption amongst young children; with the aim of combating harmful consumption across varied populations, and helping to reduce childhood obesity.
Cati Amaral 鈥18 injects her heart for helping others into her daily life at 91视频, from advocating for students through her roles in the Honors Council and Student Government Association to excelling as a nursing student and resident assistant on the Pleasantville Campus.
