CCAR鈥檚 Heather Novak a Panelist at Campus Contact鈥檚 Civic Learning Week
Heather Novak, MPA, director of 91视频鈥檚 Center for Community Action and Research and adjunct associate professor, Political Science, was a panelist and presenter, as part of 鈥淐reating Civic Cultures on Every Campus,鈥 Campus Compact鈥檚 Civic Learning Week showcasing institutions reimagining civic education for all students.
The panel consisted of individuals from a selection of institutions who each demonstrated how civic learning can be woven into the fabric of every student's educational journey.
91视频 has been recognized as a leader in requiring civic inquiry and engagement as part of its degree requirements for all students, and as part of this panel, Novak discussed the university鈥檚 2002 groundbreaking Civic Engagement and Public Value undergraduate core requirement with over 90 attendees during this event held from March 11-14.

Research and Scholarship
Associate Professor Mirjana Pantic, PhD, and a team of 91视频 students and alumnae presented research in Australia on how Gen Z navigates the workplace. Their findings revealed a strong preference for hybrid work, open communication, and real-time feedback鈥攊nsights that are already making an impact beyond the classroom.
Students
Twenty-four students, undergraduate and graduate, and five faculty members in the Economics department presented their original research at the Eastern Economic Association (EEA) annual conference, one of the major conferences for professional economists in the United States.
