Shamik Trivedi ’08 and Adrienne Fortin Trivedi ’08 met at Earth Day in 2006 – Adrienne was selling t-shirts for ELS. Shamik bought a shirt from her, and, as Shamik puts it “the rest, they say, is history.” Shamik and Adrienne were married in 2014 and have two amazing children together.

Jeff Norton ’97 and Stephanie Krigman Norton ’98 met in the library while Jeff was a 2L and Stephanie a 1L. Stephanie and Jeff married in 1998 with Haub Law’s Professor Randolph McLaughlin in attendance at their wedding!

David Shofi ‘94 and Leanne (Murray) Shofi ’94 met at Haub Law in their Legal Research and Writing Class and were engaged by their 3L year! Today, they practice law in Ridgefield, CT and have two adult children (one a 2020 graduate of 91��Ƶ's Musical Theater program – 91��Ƶ pride runs deep in the Shofi household!).

During law school, Brendan Alt ’12 and Brittany Gold Alt ’12 began working/interning at a local law firm located in White Plains together. Their friendship grew and upon graduation and taking the bar exam they went away for what was supposed to be a long weekend and ended up staying together all summer. Brendan and Brittany were married a couple of years later!

Ben Lowenthal ’13 and Michelle Simard ’13 met through mutual law school friends during their 1L year. A few short years later, Ben proposed and Michelle said yes! They were married in June 2017 in Maryland. Ben and Michelle have a son, Lyle, and currently live in Atlanta.

Joseph Mack (Lubin School of Business ‘98/Haub Law ’01) and Karyllan Dodson Mack ‘03 first met in the fall of 2000 when Joe was the Dean’s Scholar for Professor Nolon’s Property Law class. The two were married in April of 2003. They live in New Jersey with their two children.

Circa 1995, Suzanne Squarcia Haynes '97 worked the front desk as a Dannat Hall Resident Assistant, and Nathan Haynes '98 would swing by after classes with coffee. Seeing past his ‘high and tight’ USMC haircut, love bloomed at Haub Law. Today, Nathan and Suzanne reside in lower Manhattan and have a daughter, Maddie.

When Saad Siddiqui ’07 started his term as president of Haub Law’s Honor Board during his 3L year, he had no idea that one of the incoming Board members, Samantha Schwartz Siddiqui ’08, would be his future wife! Over the course of working together the two learned they had many mutual friends and began spending a lot of time together socially. Fast-forward to an engagement in Paris, a marriage in New Rochelle, and three children and a home right in White Plains!

Alex Temple ’08 and Lauren Hughes Temple ’08 met in their 2L year, through their friends, and fellow alumni, Shamik Trivedi ’08 and Adrienne Fortin Trivedi ‘08. The four have remained close friends ever since. Alex and Lauren are the proud parents of two children, Susannah and Cameron.

Love was in the air during Meghan and Paul Dibbini’s ‘19 1L civil procedure class at Haub Law. Meghan recalls, “Paul happened to sit in front of me in our first Monday morning 9:00 a.m. class – civil procedure with Professor Simon. Professor Simon had a “sign-in sheet” for attendance, and any time Paul handed me the sign-in sheet, he would be sure to fully turn around, grab my attention, and strike up a conversation if he could. We began getting to know each other as friends, became part of the same study group, and the rest is history!” A few short years after graduating from Haub Law, Meghan and Paul were married with numerous Haub Law alumni in attendance at their wedding.

Meghan had always dreamed of becoming a lawyer since elementary school. “Becoming a lawyer always stood out to me as a prestigious profession and one that would keep me on my toes and challenge me,” said Meghan. “Haub Law has a prominent location – close to NYC, but in Westchester where I knew I would be able to eventually settle down and make great connections. My time at Haub Law was wonderful and really set me up for success as a lawyer after graduating.” Paul, a double degree 91��Ƶ graduate, received his undergraduate degree from 91��Ƶ as well as his law degree. “I had a positive experience as an undergraduate at 91��Ƶ and was confident the same would be true if I attended law school at 91��Ƶ,” said Paul. “Fortunately, I was right and not only did I receive a top-tier legal education, but I also met Meghan.”

Today, Meghan is a partner with Wood Smith Henning & Berman LLP and Paul is an attorney with Cassin & Cassin LLP.

Gabriella Mickel ’23, ‘24 and Daniel Guarracino ’23 had many overlapping coincidences during their 1L year at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 91��Ƶ – they both decided to live in Dannat Hall, and they were also placed in the same section and Legal Writing class. “We very naturally spent a lot of time together right away and it progressed from there,” shared Gabriella. “We were married shortly after graduating from the Law School with many 91��Ƶ Haub Law alumni and even professors in attendance; one alumni friend even helped officiate!"

Gabriella went on to not only obtain her JD from 91��Ƶ Haub Law, but also her LLM. Today, Gabriella is a Teaching Professor at Wayne Law in Detroit, teaching legal writing and environmental law. Daniel is an attorney at the law office of Norman Abood where he focuses mostly on civil litigation. “We are both so grateful for our time at the Law School,” said Gabriella. “Not only did we both gain a law degree, but we were lucky enough to find each other.”

Brent Keith ’09 and Erin Flannery Keith ‘09 were environmental law friends at Haub Law, but didn’t become a couple until reconnecting through work travel two years after graduation. They live in the northwest corner of Connecticut where Erin is an Assistant Regional Counsel at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Region 1 and Brent directs the land policy team for the Nature Conservancy in North America. They have been married for 13 years and their second grader loves ecology, chemistry, and rules.

Michael J. Konicoff ’13 and Hon. Taylor A. Piscionere ’13 met during their first year of law school as members of the same section. Several years later, Michael proposed on the Haub Law campus, just outside the library where their story first began. The couple recently celebrated their 10-year wedding anniversary. Michael is a partner at Piscionere & Nemarow, P.C., a litigation firm in Rye Brook, while Taylor serves as a judge in Rye City Court. They are the proud parents of two children, Jordan (7) and Charlie (5), who are their greatest joy.
