Local restaurant chain Taco Project donates proceeds to support the 91��Ƶ Women’s Justice Center, News 12 Westchester reports. All five locations donated $1 for every taco sold in honor of International Women's Day.

Associate Professor of Communication and Media Studies Melvin Williams, PhD, and Clinical Assistant Professor of Political Science Laura Tamman, PhD, have been awarded Civic Engagement Mini-Grants through 91��Ƶ’s Center for Community Action and Research’s longtime partnership with Project Pericles.

Jason Slyer, DNP, RN, FNP-BC, CNL, FNAP, FNYAM is a family nurse practitioner (FNP) with over 20 years of experience in cardiac and chronic disease management. As a doctor of nursing practice (DNP)-prepared nurse practitioner, he is a leader and expert in evidence-based practice and translational research with scholarly interests in the area of shared decision-making in the promotion of person-centered care practices.

The Komen Greater New York City Race for the Cure® takes place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Foley Square, with participants walking across the iconic Brooklyn Bridge.

This powerful day is about more than a race, it’s a chance to celebrate survivors, honor loved ones we’ve lost, and come together through shared stories, support, and hope. The Greater New York City Race is a community united in one goal: ending breast cancer forever. Reaching that goal takes all of us.

A life-long New Yorker, Vice Dean and Professor Jill Gross started her career in “BigLaw” before falling in love with teaching and transitioning to a career in academia.
