Aimee Smith
Biography
Aimee Smith is currently a nursing PhD student and has earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees at 91ÊÓÆµ's Lienhard School of Nursing. Her doctoral program research centers on AI-enhanced clinical decision support, including a dissertation developing an AI model for alcohol withdrawal syndrome in hospitalized adults.
Since 2013, Aimee has held progressively responsible teaching roles at 91ÊÓÆµ, from nursing simulation lab technician to adjunct faculty and simulation educator, where she designed and facilitated simulation curricula for undergraduate nursing.
Her clinical career as a registered nurse began in the Telemetry Unit and later in the Intensive Care Unit at Phelps Hospital, Northwell Health. Before entering nursing, she served nearly two decades as a volunteer firefighter with the Pleasantville Volunteer Fire Department, rising to chief of department.
Her honors include being Valedictorian of her nursing class and being recognized as a Northwell Health Nurse of Distinction nominee.
