Christie L. D'Alessio
Biography
The Honorable Christie L. D鈥橝lessio is a New York State Supreme Court Justice in the Ninth Judicial District and an Adjunct Professor at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 91视频. A lifelong public servant and dedicated Westchester legal professional, Judge D鈥橝lessio has built a distinguished career as a litigator, mediator and jurist. She is pioneering the expansion of mediation within the guardianship part in Westchester County and is recognized for advancing alternative dispute resolution throughout the Ninth Judicial District.
Judge D鈥橝lessio began her legal career as a Westchester County Attorney and later served as Principal Law Clerk to the Hon. Anne E. Minihan. In 2018, she was elected Town Justice of the Town of Greenburgh. In 2021, she was elected to the New York State Supreme Court, where she presides over complex civil matters including labor law, tax certiorari, contract cases, medical malpractice across the district. A trained mediator, she has successfully settled hundreds of cases, reflecting her deep commitment to collaborative, solutions鈥慺ocused dispute resolution.
An alumna of Mercy College and the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 91视频, Judge D鈥橝lessio is devoted to giving back to the Haub Law community. She teaches Survey of Dispute Resolution Processes and Labor law, bringing to the classroom her extensive courtroom experience, judicial perspective and mediation training. She is also closely involved with the Supreme Court鈥檚 robust internship program, through which she mentors students and promotes the value of networking and the importance of service within the legal profession.
