Faculty Bio
Dr. Devyn Savitsky joined the faculty at 91ÊÓÆµ in 2025, primarily working with Master's level Mental Health Counseling students. Social justice plays a key role in her approach to counseling, service, research and scholarship. Dr. Savitsky currently serves as a Consulting Editor for the Journal of Queer and Trans Studies in Education, on the Editorial Board for the Journal of Counseling Sexology & Sexual Wellness: Research, Practice, and Education, and as an Ad-Hoc reviewer for the Journal for Social Action in Counseling and Psychology.

Research Interest
Dr. Savitsky primarily focuses on the counselor training process with specific attention to multicultural competence, eating disorder mental health literacy, and LGBTGEQIAP+ issues. Additionally, Dr. Savitsky has studied the counselor's experience in facilitating difficult conversations and the impact of vicarious traumatization.
