Jennifer L. Hofmann
Biography
Dr. Jennifer Hofmann is the director of student success and remediation and course director for Medical Pharmacology at the 91ÊÓÆµ-Lenox Hill Hospital Physician Assistant Program-NYC, as well as an adjunct professor at Touro University.
With more than 20 years of experience in PA education, Dr. Hofmann has held key leadership positions, including director of didactic education, and has steered four successful ARC-PA accreditation visits. She also serves on the Editorial Board for The Journal of Physician Assistant Education (JPAE) for Student Perspectives and Brief Reports. Clinically, she has practiced in family medicine, internal medicine, and pediatric psychopharmacology.
She earned a Master of Science in Clinical Pharmacology/Pharmacotherapeutics from St. John’s University/Catholic Medical Centers and a Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) in Physician Assistant Education and Accreditation from the University of Lynchburg.
Dr. Hofmann is the author of Mind Maps in Medical Pharmacology (Elsevier, 2025) and the recipient of a fi ve-year HRSA primary care training grant, the Dean’s Award for Teaching, and multiple innovative curriculum grants. Her academic focus includes student remediation, curriculum assessment, innovative pharmacology instruction, and faculty mentorship.
