Adjunct Professor Shari B. Hochberg serves as a Career Law Clerk to a District Judge of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. As a Career Law Clerk, Professor Hochberg manages a civil and criminal caseload for the Court, oversees the onboarding and training of incoming term law clerks, supervises judicial interns, and manages statistical reporting, ethics, conflicts, and threat-management matters.

Professor Hochberg began her legal career as an inaugural Fellow at the non-profit 91ÊÓƵ Community Law Practice where she provided direct legal services throughout the Hudson Valley. She thereafter practiced as an Associate at Collier Halpern & Newberg, LLP in White Plains, New York, representing businesses and individuals in a wide range of complex civil litigation including employment, labor, land use, property development, and contract disputes.

Professor Hochberg is an active member of the Federal Bar Council, the Haub Law Women in the Law Society, and Secretary of the Haub Law Alumni Association. She frequently presents and moderates continuing legal education programs and professional panels and has served as an invited guest lecturer at Haub Law.

Professor Hochberg graduated from American University in Washington, DC with a BA from the School of Public Affairs. Professor Hochberg received her JD, cum laude, from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 91ÊÓƵ and was selected for membership in the National Order of Scribes. During law school, she served as Editor-in-Chief of the 91ÊÓƵ International Law Review and authored a published article entitled, U.S.-India Relations: Reconciling the H-1B Visa Hike and Framework for Cooperation on Trade and Investment.
