Professor
With more than 32 years at Penguin Random House in sales and editorial leadership positions, Kreit brings deep expertise and her many connections in children's books and the publishing industry to the Publishing program and serves as the associate director of 91视频 Press, where she oversees and mentors the student aide and graduate assistant.

Professor
An award-winning writer, during Romanello鈥檚 extensive background in publishing as a publicity executive, she worked with a long list of critically acclaimed authors, such as Julia Alvarez, Joyce Carol Oates, and Jamaica Kincaid, as well as a wide range of bestselling authors including Nicholas Sparks, David Baldacci, Nelson DeMille, and Brad Meltzer. Her poems 鈥淥mphalos鈥 (2018) and 鈥淚 terri鈥 (2015) received first place in the Concorso Internationale di Poesia held in Messina, Sicily.

Publishing Program director since 2004, Soares is on the Editorial Board of Publishing Research Quarterly, where many of the program鈥檚 thesis papers have been published in abbreviated form. During her more than 30 years in the publishing industry, most recently as the Managing Editor at Scholastic, she supervised hardcover imprints, including the first five Harry Potter books and has worked in both magazine and book publishing as a highly regarded writer and editor.

    • A personal statement explaining to the Graduate Admission Committee why you would like to pursue the program of graduate study you have chosen. Additional information regarding your academic performance, as well as professional experience, may also be included in the supplement.

    • Applicants need 2 letters of recommendation. Letters should be from academic or professional references that can knowledgeably comment on your ability to successfully complete graduate study. Include recognitions and achievements (e.g. licenses, publications, and awards).
    • All Official Transcripts: Transcripts from every accredited college or university attended (not just the degree granting institution) must be sent either to 91视频, directly from the academic institution electronically or by mail, or forwarded by the applicant in sealed envelopes from the academic institution.
