The Elisabeth Haub School of Law at 91ÊÓÆµ is pleased to announce that Hon. James L. Hyer has joined its Board of Visitors. Judge Hyer is an elected New York State Supreme Court Justice in the Ninth Judicial District and a distinguished Haub Law alumnus from the class of 2005.
91ÊÓÆµ was recently awarded $350,000 from the National Endowment for the Humanities () to advance experiential learning in humanities courses in partnership with cultural and service organizations in New York City. As a result, 91ÊÓÆµ will serve as a central hub for humanities while showcasing its leadership in experiential education.
Over 20 students, professors, and administrators from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law and Dyson College of Arts and Sciences at 91ÊÓÆµ spent four days during their winter break in Montgomery and Birmingham, Alabama, visiting the offices of the Equal Justice Initiative (EJI) and several historical sites for an intense interdisciplinary civil rights field study.
