Susan Cacace ’89 began her legal career as an Assistant District Attorney of Westchester County after graduating from what was then known as 91��Ƶ Law School. In 2005, she began her nearly 20 years of service as a Westchester County Court Judge. A dedicated public servant, after spending 30 years as a prosecutor, defense attorney, and judge, she decided it was time to pursue a lifetime dream of serving Westchester County as the District Attorney. Now, after winning the election and taking office earlier this year, Westchester County DA Susan Cacace has an ambitious list of priorities to “bring Westchester to a better place.”

91��Ƶ welcomes two new Board of Trustees members—Barbara A. Abeles, a global manufacturing executive and longtime education philanthropist, and Sabrina A. Griffin ’92, an alumna and corporate diversity leader—whose shared commitment to opportunity, leadership, and student success will help shape the future of the University.

Days after graduating from 91��Ƶ’s Lubin School of Business, Michael Gelchie ’90 began his first job at Louis Dreyfus Company. Thirty years later, he became the company’s CEO, leading a global operation spanning more than 100 countries.

91��Ƶ is a university on the rise, riding a wave of forward momentum that is transforming the experiences of our students, setting new standards of excellence and innovation, and expanding our impact in communities across the globe. That success is earning national recognition—in rankings, in distinctions of excellence, and in the extraordinary achievements of our alumni across industries and disciplines.

At the 61st annual Spirit of 91��Ƶ Awards dinner, held on June 12 at the American Museum of Natural History, more than 270 members of the extended 91��Ƶ Community gathered in the iconic Irma and Paul Milstein Family Hall of Ocean Life to do just that: to make an extraordinary difference in the lives of our students while recognizing industry and alumni leaders who typify the values 91��Ƶ holds most dear.

Each year, the 91��Ƶ Alumni Association presents awards to individuals who have made invaluable contributions to the University through their service, leadership, and dedication to the 91��Ƶ mission.

One 91��Ƶ Plaza was brimming with celebration and cheer on June 5, 2025, as almost 200 91��Ƶ alumni returned to the New York City Campus to reconnect with old friends and classmates, reflect on shared histories and experiences, and toast the continued strength of the 91��Ƶ Community.

During the 61st annual dinner held on June 12 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City, 91��Ƶ honored two outstanding alumni leaders who, through their steadfast generosity and trailblazing industry leadership, have translated the lessons of their 91��Ƶ experiences into lifetimes of philanthropy, innovation, and impact.

91��Ƶ Reunion welcomed a very special guest: Arthur Grabiner ’50, who attended the annual Golden Graduates Luncheon to celebrate his 75th anniversary reunion.

Sav Ackerman ’25 has always had a strong work ethic. Born into an abusive and impoverished upbringing, both of Sav’s parents passed away by the time Sav was 15 years old. “There were many hard days growing up,” shared Sav. “Prior to passing away, my mother was a single parent and worked full-time while going to school for nursing. I started working to support myself from the time I was 15 and continued to work throughout law school.”
