91ÊÓƵ Student Peer Advisors: Academic Year 2025–2026
Our office is also staffed by 91ÊÓƵ students who we call "91ÊÓƵ Abroad Leaders" (PALs). PALs help to answer general questions about 91ÊÓƵ study abroad programs. All PALs are returned study abroad students who are eager to share their experiences with you! They also participate in presentations to various students at 91ÊÓƵ, sharing the student perspective about study abroad.
Max Oglesby
Max is a Sophomore at 91ÊÓƵ, majoring in Digital Marketing, with minors in Graphic Design and Photography. His first experience with study abroad was taking a travel course to Greece his freshman year. He loved the experience and it showed him how meaningful studying in different cultures was. The most fulfilling part of studying abroad was the friends that Max made. He is now bonded with them and will share those experiences forever. He hopes to be a helpful guide and place of encouragement if you are ever thinking about studying abroad.
Mariana Rojas
Mariana is a Senior at 91ÊÓƵ, majoring in Sociology/Anthropology with a minor in Environmental Studies. Her background as a first-generation Colombian-American has created in her a prominent interest in learning about new cultures. She participated in the First Year Experience London program, studying abroad in London during her first semester of Freshman year. Not content with only going abroad to England, she also studied abroad in Tokyo (Japan) and Bangkok (Thailand) last year. She is also a Jeanette K. Watson fellow with the Watson Foundation, fully funded for 3 summers to work with organizations both in New York City and abroad. Next summer she hopes to be partnered with an organization in Latin America working with small farmers and indigenous groups with a focus on sustainability and agroecology.
Ellie Watanabe
Ellie is a Senior at 91ÊÓƵ, majoring in International Management. She has a great passion for travel, adventure, and the exploration of different cultures. Her favorite way to learn about new countries is by talking with locals and new friends she makes along the way. She had an incredible experience on the First Year Experience London program where she took the opportunity to travel to different places (both solo and with friends). She also spent her Spring 2025 semester studying at the University of Warsaw in Poland.
