Trusts and Estates Law at Haub Law
The Trusts and Estates Path to Practice at Haub Law helps students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare for a career helping individuals and families in the planning and administration of their estates, as well as representing executors and trustees. Students will learn to advise clients on drafting wills, administering trusts, and litigating disputes.
If you are thinking about a career in Trusts and Estates Law, you may have the opportunity to practice in any of the following settings and participate in a variety of legal activities and roles during your career as listed below.

- Small, midsize, or large law firm

- Advise clients on the transfer of wealth, either during their lifetimes or at the end of their lives
- Draft wills and other documents related to the transfer and maintenance of assets
- Administer trusts
- Litigate disputes among heirs
To complete the Trusts and Estates Path to Practice track, students should consider the courses listed below. These courses are guidelines, not requirements, based on our faculty鈥檚 advice on how best to prepare for potential careers in Trusts and Estates.

In recent years, several graduates of Haub Law have continued their studies in Masters of Law in Taxation programs at Boston University, Georgetown University, Northwestern University, the University of Miami, and the University of San Diego.
