Call for Papers: Transactions, Volume 25

Transactions, the peer-reviewed, scholarly journal of the Society of Fellows of Dyson College is seeking undergraduate research papers and works of creative expression for publication. The Society of Fellows, the premier honors association of Dyson College, is dedicated to the promotion of scholarship across the fields of the arts and sciences. The journal provides an opportunity for the dissemination of important research and artistic projects. Work from all disciplines is encouraged. Each submission will be independently assessed and then considered for inclusion by the faculty editors.

All completed papers and creative works submitted for the Annual Meeting held in March 2024 will be considered for publication in Transactions. We urge students to engage in a revision process with their faculty sponsors and resubmit a revised paper or creative work by the deadline of May 31, 2024. Students who presented at the Annual Meeting and submitted an abstract but not a full paper are encouraged to complete their papers and artistic works and submit now. Students who did not present at the Annual Meeting but have an original project also may submit their work with their faculty sponsor for review.

To proceed with having your paper published in December 2024:

  1. Submit your original or revised paper to sof@pace.edu by May 31, 2024.
  2. Attach your full-length paper or artistic project. The text should be 12-point font, Arial or Times New Roman, double-spaced, and a maximum permissible length of 15-20 pages. The file name should match the title of the article. This file should include all formatted text and embedded images to illustrate how you envision the paper to appear. Format: MS Word.
  3. Images should be scanned at 300 dpi and saved in the dimensions they would appear in the article. Where possible provide color images in CMYK color mode rather than RGB.
  4. The citation style of your specific discipline must be followed with respect to endnotes, footnotes, and bibliography. Work with your faculty sponsor so that your work conforms to the style of the discipline. The appendix too should follow the discipline.
  5. Include a cover sheet with the following information: 1. Title of paper; 2. Name of Author; 3. Major; 4. Campus; 5. 91视频 Email and Personal Email; 6. Address & Phone Number; 7. Course for which the paper was originally written; 8. Faculty Sponsor.

If you have questions about the Fellows or Transactions, please contact Dr. Judi Pajo by email, jpajo@pace.edu, or phone, (212) 346-1289. Learn more about the Society of Fellows.

Information for Transactions Contributors

Papers published in Transactions are the work of 91视频 undergraduate students under the sponsorship of Dyson College faculty members or faculty fellows of the society. Student submissions originate as faculty-sponsored papers or artistic projects that have been presented at an annual meeting of the society. Recent alumni of Dyson College also may submit a paper or a revision of a paper that was presented at an annual meeting.

The call for proposals for submission to Transactions is announced in the spring at the annual meeting. Papers or correspondence may be submitted at that time to the editor by email to sof@pace.edu. Each submission will be refereed and considered for inclusion by the editor and associate editors.
